I've read a lot of threads and can't find my answer so here goes. I will be buying a BB, but I would also like to level out my Jeep. I installed a new front bumper and winch so now the from is 1" lower than the back. Would it be best to get new springs on the front the make of the difference or a 1" talled BB? If springs are recommended, do you order them 1,2 or3 inches taller than stock?
I don't have an answer but I'm really hoping someone does. I am looking into new bumpers and hadn't even considered the weights effect on the Jeep being level.
1" taller springs, or stiffer springs of the same length would actually be better. If you add a BB spacer you'll probably have to add to your bumpstop extensions to prevent coil binding, and end up losing suspension travel because you're replacing an inch of spring (compressed by the weight of the bumper) with an inch of solid plastic.
I'm sure I've read on here that Rubicon springs are stiffer? May be a solution for you. Hopefully someone can correct me if I've got that wrong.
Why not get a 3in spring for the front? You can get a set of v8 ZJ (Jeep Grand Cherokee) front springs that will give you 2-3in lift in front. That way you only have a BB in the rear.
another vote for 3" front springs and 2" BB in the rear. or just forget the BB and get 2" springs for the rear
