2"BB now I have slight vibration

I have an 01 Wrangler and after installing a 2" BB, I'm noticing a slight vibration when I first take off. I'm thinking I might need to install a TC drop. I didn't think I would need this with just a 2", but maybe so. If so, how much do I need?

If it just happens when you first take off, check your transmission mount. It's likely deteriorated or torn completely in two, and with the slight extra angle on the drive shaft is more noticeable now.
Vibes due to bad driveline angles normally get worse with speed.

I'm not a mechanic so bare with me on this explaination. I check the drive shaft between the front differential and the TC. It does seem to have a very slight movement. I can't see it move, but I can feel it. I checked the rear and it didn't have teh same feel, it felt very tight. So I'm guessing the middle u-joint needs replacing?

I would think you would have felt that before bb but it's possible. You can take the front shaft out and drive it to rule it out. Or like dextreme said , probably a couple washers to space to Trans skid down would cure it. Trial and error after a lift of any kind to get it perfect. Some how all jeeps react differently to lifts.

Thanks for the advise. Being an 01, it's probably needs a new mount (my bumper stops came out in pieces), so next week I'll replace the mount, test drive it and then drop the TC with some washers if needed. Headed to the coast to do some fishing first! I will let you know the results.

Ok, got a wild hair last night and decided to change out the Tranny support. After breaking a socket and losing my left nut from removing the bolts hold it in place, the support looked worse than me.

While I had to TC off, I put a couple of washer to lower the TC a little. Didn't get to drive much since it was raining, but I'm sure it didn't hurt since the support was cracker and the metal rod in the middle was out of place.

Hijacking the thread but it's relevant.

When installing my MML I removed the 4 nuts from the tranny mount. When re-installing, and using a torque wrench, one of the studs sheered off. The MML got rid of the vibs I had around 40mph but now I get some shakes when I'm taking off like the OP said. Could this be due to the stud/tranny mount or do you think this is still drive lines? I plan on replacing the mount, just haven't got around to doing it yet.
