If you just want clearance for 35"s then a 1" - 1.25" body lift would be good. 2" and above may make your jeep feel more tippy, when combined with the 4" suspension lift. There are some guys that run 2" body lifts with no issue

Performance Accessories,Daystar or JKS but any one you choose I would do a MML(motor mount lift) rather than mess with the fan shroud the MML will help with drive line angels also.

Body Lift

Hi, I'm thinking about getting a body lift. I have a fully stocked 00' Wrangler Sahara. I want to put 33"x12" tires on it. This is a 2 part question. What size body lift can I get to put these tires on, and 2nd what's the difference in getting a body lift vs a suspension lift.

body lifts just put spacers in the body mounts to make space betweeen body and frame. you will se this space, and personally i think it doesn't look so good. personal preference though. suspension lift it the better way to go, and you'll need to do suspension lift to get 33's imo. make sure you like how a body lift looks before you do it.

most people run suspension lift, + small body lift 1-1.5"

oh yeah, welcome to wf.

hmmmmmm body lift eh, i had a 2 inch body lift when i bought my jeep. it screws alot of stuff up if you don't watch it, have to move radiator, you have to make sure the linkage on your 4 wheel drive shifter is adjusted..ohh and i never have seen a jeep where it was done right so good luck. i personally don't like them and if i were faced with the delima i would rather run stock sized tires and no bl rather than put one on, thats me, take it for what its worth and good luck

i installed mine in two hours and it was easy and done right!
you would need more lift than 2" for 33" tires though

I think he is talking in combination with a 4" suspension lift and 35s.If 33s is what he wants to run the 4" SL will be enough.

x2 on needing more than a body lift..

check into a 2'' budget boost (Rubicon express makes a 2.25'' kit with monotube shocks) also get a 1'' bl (i like my jks 1.25'' body lift with 1'' motor mount lift)

that will be ALMOST enough clearance to run 33s.. you will need longer bumpstops.. a lot of people run a similar setup

33s you need 3-4'' of lift

i have a 4" suspension and 2" body lift together. I will NOT get 1" body lift because they are NOT complete.

As for those that say it looks "ugly" well thats good for you. With 2 hrs of work it can look just like stock but 2" taller and 2" less in bump stops (more flex).

(i gotta get some new pics)

I have a 3 inch body lift on my tj.. bad decision i know. I wanna take it off. So i went and got my self a 4 inch RC with a 1 inch BL heres the problem.
i went to go take off the bolts on the BL and they kept spinnin. I looked up and there it was. The BL broke into the the body. Do u know what im talking about. Its only on the drivers side but it still sucks. I dont really know what to do. Ive thought about liftin the body cuttin them out and welding a new strip of steel up to the body. Would that work??? if u guys have anyyy suggestions please feel free

Muddy, thats what happens when one doesn't tighten the body lift bolts properly especially on 3" body lift.
