every 2 years our cars are tested by the government.
my advantage is that jeeps aren´t very usual here in germany. but on usual cars like volkswagen, bmw or mercedes cars they find every little screw that isn´t stock.
sometimes i hate all the german laws and regulations.

we have emission testing every few years.. which just tests if the car is good as emissions go.. this is about it.. and now cars only need the computer (obd 2) tested and if the computer reads good.. you're good to go.. one of my buds had a straight pipe instead of a cat since his after market headers didn't come with cat on them (cat is welded directly on headers but the headers he got didn't come with cat, just a straight pipe..) so he used something to lie to the ECU.. the guy plugged it in.. ran him through with out any problems. (he did get a cat now since the thing stinks like hell so it just smells nasty to be in)

i just called a buddy that works in a company that makes stainless steel parts for boats.
he will cut off the thin metal plates on my sidesteps and weld some new and better plates to it. then i don´t have to do anything. i only have to bring some beer with me...

but he´s on holiday for two weeks. that´s why i have to wait a bit...
