2 inch lift

Hi everyone, just wondering if a 2" lift is enough to stop tires rubbing on the steering arms? Tires are 31x10.5R15 but looking at going up to 32x11.5R15.

You probably need either wheel spacers, new wheels with less backspacing (or is it more? ...whichever makes the tire stick out further), or to adjust your steering stops to stop the rubbing.

2" should be okay for 32's I think...might want to be closer to 3" for full flex...not thinking clearly, sorry for not being very sure on my answers. lol

Welcome to the forum brother.

Above post is correct. The tire rubbing on either your sway bar or lower control arm is due to the width of your tire and the backspacing of your wheel.
To fix the issue 3 options...
1. adjust the steering stop...will work with the 10.5'' wide tire...wider tire...no go.
2. new wheels with less backspacing.
3. wheel spacers.

If you do plan on going with an 11.5'' wide tire soon....skip the spacers and adjustment of the steering stop. Your stock wheels are an 15x7 with 5.25'' backspacing. Too much back spacing for that wide of tire and the wheel is a little narrow for a 11.5'' tire. Best bet is to do it correctly and purchase new wheel to correctly fit the tire. A good wheel for the 32x11.5'' would be an 15x8 wheel. Backspace of 4'' to 4.5'' would work awesome.

PS....aint lackland fun.

Hey thanks guys. Some good info from you. This forum is really good, you certainly know a lot more about the tire business than me. I will have a go at the steering stop, one of my mates might be able to help me out there. Have been looking for new Jeep wheels but they are hard to come by here in New Zealand.
