2000 tj

Hi there. Just got the iPhone ap and love it. Any way. I have a 2000 TJ Sport. I am wondering how to determine if I have the AX15 or the NV3550 5 speed manual transmission. I thought all TJ's 2000 to 2006 had the NV3550 with a 4.0L inline 6. Any help would be great. Thank you

Welcome to the Forum

You can go to the Jeep.com site, click on the "For Owners" tab at the top and request a build sheet for your Jeep. They are pretty fast with their response. It will tell you exactly what your Jeep was built with.

You have the NV3550. The AX-15 was used until 99 and replaced by thr nv3550 for the 2000 model.

There is a transmission facts sticky at the top of the TJ section.

Thanks guys. I completely forgot about the owners tab on the Jeep.com site. This is my 3rd Jeep, so one would think I would have that down. I to was under the impression that the AX15 was a '99' and older tranny, but I am going to get the B&M short shift kit and the site I'm ordering from has both as an option for a 2000 TJ. This helps a ton. On to Jeep.com. Thank you
