2000 tj electrical problems help

A couple weeks ago a no bus should up on my tj. I looked online and found out that the connectors behind the instrument panel get corroded so i clean it up and it fired right away no problems and drove it for a week.

While i was at a stop light a week later it idled super low almost like it was about to stop. So i took off the instrument panel, cleaned it more, put it on and it will only crank over but won’t start.

It now says no bus, check engine light, air bag light (it eventually goes off), and sentry key lights are on. The gas gauge and amp doesn’t move even though i have a quarter tank of gas and we tested the battery and fully charged it all night (12 volts). The oil pressure is the only one that moves and it only moves less than an inch.

We hook an obd2 code sensor to it but it couldn’t connect to the computer. So we tested the computer and no luck. We did a manual test also where we turned they key to the on position and held the trip button. It didn’t give us a code but the gauges worked while it was running and then they died again. Next we cleaned all the connections we could find leading from the dash to the computer. We had cleaned all the grounds and the connections put electro cleaner on everything and cleaned the corrosion off the grounds. No change. Next we took each sensor off one at a time with no change. Also the asd relay is clicking constantly when the key is in the on position.

We tested all the fuses, cleaned the battery terminals, and cleaned the crank sensor, have 12 volts to pcm when I pull pcm fuse relay shuts off. Help this jeep is making me go mad crazy trying to figure this out.

cleaned the pcm grey terminal possibly c. it sounds like it wants to start and the gauges started shaking. and asd relay stopped clicking. cleaned it some more and went back to nothing.

My 2000 TJ Sport 4.0L does the exact same thing, intermittently. I am not knowledgeable enough to try to figure it out myself and hate to pay the dealership $90 for diagnostics when the problem may not even occur while they have it.

To be specific about the problem: the odometer stops reading mileage and says "No Bus," while it gives that message the speedometer and RPMs read zero and the check engine light comes on, this intermittent problem may only last 1 mile or sometimes for days worth of driving.

I believe no bus means no communication with the computer, it not receiving any signals

I'm having the same issue mine wont even start up cranks over fine but will not start cant hear the fuel pump kicking on checked the connections to the cluster they seem fine but still no start and no bus is readin across the odo help if u can i dont want and can not afford to replace part by part till i get it right

Same thing happened to me this morning as I drove to work. Speedo and tach died, no bus was on the odo. Dis it twice for a few seconds, then once more for a mile or so. Then back to normal.
Should I lose sleep over this?
