Talking 2000 TJ wrangler needs stock bump stops replaced

Do I have to remove springs to install these in the cups? And I read there were two styles? Need some advice!

no you don't need to remove the springs. you just need to drop the axle to full droop, maybe unhook the shocks, so you have enough room to fish a ratchet and channel locks into the spring.

there were two styles in some models, but ZJ front's will fit in either way. ZJ front and TJ rear are basically exactly the same. Some TJ's got a smaller cone shaped front, but the diameter in the cup where installation is concerned is the same. So ZJ front's from a junkyard will fit TJ front and rear. don't get poly jounce bumpers...stick with the stockers.

Thanks, I didn't think it was necessary, so they are bolted on through the bottom? I just noticed left front was broken up and rotten, so looked at the rest and they are shot.

Thx again

yank the jounce bumper out and stick a socket up inside the cup...its a 15mm i think, but i cant remember for sure. the jounce bumper is easily removed & installed using WD-40 and channel locks.
