2000 White TJ

Ok, I am selling my '95 Rio Grande, and just got a White '00 TJ Sport with 50K miles.
I know its a 6cyl, but do all you guys go through gas as quickly as I am?
I guess I'm still used to my 4cyl gas eating speed.

Jim

What size tires on the TJ? Give it a tune up, and check the O2 sensors...

I average around 15mpg.
Which, kinda surprisingly to me, is the same thing my GF's Liberty is rated at.

I have a 97 with a 6 cyl and auto trans. It has 164,000 miles on it too. I'm not sure how to do mpg but I get between 100 to 120 miles on a half tank. I never go pas 3/4's cause I don't want any old dirt or whatever in the tank coming up.

DANG, I was hoping you were selling the white jeep in order to buy the Rio Grande! (I could use a 6 cyl).

Fill up, note mileage, drive, fill up again, note mileage, note how many gallons to fill up. Now, here's the hard part.. Divide the miles by the gallons to fill up... = Miles per gallon...

That's alot of math to do. Its not my daily driver and knew when I got it ( from my previous YJ ) I wouldn't be getting great mileage. I'm happy with 120 a half tank. May get better when I tune it up.

My '98 is my daily driver here in the mountains...6cyl auto, hardtop, 62K miles on it, prety much original except slightly larger tires. I do not drive it hard and I've averaged 16.1 mpg over the last 7000 miles.

My 2000 4.0 gets around 250 miles to a tank on highway trips, running 70 mph turning 2800 to 2900 rpm.
