MY THANKS!! :)

Or a beer if I ever meet you. I posted this as "what is the sensor above the oil filter". Best guess on here was a "coil capacitor" but the dealer can't find anything like it under capacitor or resistor. The part number on it doesn't bring up anything either. I suspect it IS a capacitor or resistor because it only has one wire in the connector and a ground on it.

In the pictures, the metal part of the mystery part was under the nut on the wiring harness. If you look closely at the pic you can see a bit of orange peeking out.

I tried NAPA too, and they couldn't find it.
My TJ has the 4.0L, AC, 5 Spd, and Anti-Lock brakes.

Thanks!!

It looks like what's written on the part, but the writing is faded and there's a scratch thru part of it. I'll take that pn down to the dealer on Mon and get a new one. Right now the mounting stud is soaking in Liquid Wrench 'cause it's looking pretty rusty. If it doesn't look like I can get the nut off, I'll just tie the cap to ground someplace else. The Jeep seems to run fine without it.
