2001 tj question

I have a 2001 sport I just bought a few days ago, there are a set if lights that are factory on the front of the bumper and unfortunately they are bith broken, just a bottom piece of the light housing still attached to the bumper, and the wiring harness. My question is can I mount a after market set of driving lights there and still use the factory wire and switch that is already there??? Thanks

If you're talking about the fog lights, you can do it as long as you replace them with 55w ones, anything else will need a new harness

As long as the new lights are 55w.

The factory lights on the bumper were fog lights. They don't work with the high beams.
They only work with the park lights and low beams.

You have to pull the relay and bend or cut one of the prongs. Here's a video.

Ok thanks for that info also. I have not even looked on the dash to see if there was a switch to turn the lights on or off. Lol. So when I turn the headlights on the fog or driving lights on the bumper come on automatically?? I like the idea of having th on when I want to use brights also. I will be doing that to mine.. Thanks
