2002 srock rear bumper

Hey guys and gals,,,,,,I'm new to this jeep site.....and new to jeeps......just got an 02 sahara,,stock what I want to know is has anybody just cut a hole in the rear bumper and welded in a receiver hitch? Will the stock bumper be strong enought? I'll just be towing a 4-wheeler or a jon boat, nothing real heavy......Thanks This is a great site love all the pics of what yall have done to your jeeps

i do not think it will be strong enough. It is just a piece of thin metal. it will bend even with just the weight of a four wheeler or john boat. i think you would be better off buying a receiver hitch or a bumper with a hitch built in it.

I have a Hidden Hitch for sale cheap. Check out the for sale section for pics. It only has some surface rust...nothing a little sanding and paint won't fix up nicely.

But no...do not modify the stock bumper.
