2004 jeep wrangler sport intake sensor

Bit new to this boys but heres how it goes. As I was installing my rugged ridge cold air intake system I realized that the intake temperature sensor was screwed straight into the block its not on the old intake tube. If I take it out of the block and install it in the new intake tube, what do I use to cover the hole in the block? And does it even make a difference weather or not the intake temperature sensor is on the new intake tube or in its original place? Thanks!
