2004 LJ-need reccommendations

My son just purchased a 2004 LJ with 103,000 miles and we are in the process of replacing all the fluids. It has 4.0L I-6 auto with the 42RLE transmission, front D30 and rear D44 axles.

We found small leak at front corner of tranny pan, so I was thinking of using the Lube Locker gaskets for the diffs and tranny pan. Which gear oil and do I need to use additives?

I'm a JK guy so any advice on the TJ/LJ will be helpful.

The rear is a limited slip so just make sure whatever diff fluid you use in the rear has an additive. Just check the back of the label. I use 90 weight and RTV no gasket on rear.

I don't use gaskets for the diff covers either. And as stated.... use a gear oil that has the additive in it. I use Lucas 85-140 in both diffs. My rear is a trak loc and front is open....

Make sure the tranny pan bolts are tight. I thought I had a rear main seal leak, because the oil pan showed signs of leaking and what not. guess what?! The fricken dealer mechanic didn't tighten all the bolts the last time I had it in for work. Infact, 1 bolt is missing. I will never use a dealer mechanic again! Too many strikes against the supposed professionals.
