The X is basically a base model SE with a 6 cylinder engine.

Look at the rear axle.

Really though.

If it is more oval shaped and has a rubber fill plug it is a D35

If it is more round or hexigon shaped with a metal fill plug...D44.

Or go take a picture of it and I'll tell you.

I don't have a certain jeep in mind. I just wanted to be able to tell the difference when I test drive the next one. Thanks for the info, DTJ.

No problem....more info...

All TJ/LJ's have D30 front axle Standard

All LJ's have a rear D44 Standard

Except of all is the Rubicon model TJ/LJ which has D44 front and rear Standard.

D35......
