2005 Jeep Wrangler Renegade TJ, Stock CD Player

Hello all.

Just got my self a 2005 Jeep Wrangler Renegade TJ, and looking to get some form of ipod integration on it.

It has a stock standard cd player for that option and the stereo has buttons for a 6cd stacker although it has none.

There is no aux port in the front, does anyone know if there is one at the back?

if not, does anyone recommend any decent stereos that have integrated ipod sport? docking section would also be nice but not a must.

Also does it face in the original shell or do i need to replace more?

not sure how it works.

You could always hook up an FM transmitter like this...

I got an Alpine cd player for Christmas and it has a usb + headphone hookup built in. I don't think it was that expensive.

Don't get an FM transmitter. The quality of the audio is awful.

Most stereo units now-a-days have an aux port of ipod control port. They are all relatively cheap. I suggest you go out an get one, Best Buy does a nice job.

I was trying to figure out the same thing about my after markets stereo that came with it when I bought mine, I just took the center dash out and then took the stereo out to see what was in the rear ... now I have an audio jack male coming out going into my Zune cause its not cool like the iPod with controls.
