Anyone own one of these. What's special about them other than longer wheel base? What axles and gearing come stock?

I have driven a manual for 6 years now. Found my LJ and it was a automatic, surprisingly nice. Definitely a plus for me when I go wheeling. More manageable driving when on the trail and makes it more enjoyable. Rarely ever do I see LJs and when people see mine they love it. Very functional with the additional length, can be a truck when you need it and a jeep when you want it. Couldn't recommend it any stronger.

They make tanuea covers you can put on and backs that go down behind the seat and it looks exactly like a truck. The regular wranglers to me look like 4wd go karts. Take the top down and back seats out and you got a bad ass looking Jeep truck. That extra space is crucial. Have something you need to haul or grab something at Lowe's and throw it in the back and you truck. Take it out on the trail and you got yourself a Jeep. I can't speak highly enough about how much not only me but my friends love the longer wheelbase. Remember, bigger is always better

Flood damage can be nasty as all of the electrical connections everywhere in the vehicle often corrode and cause problems over the long term. Hard to say what kind of issues you will have to deal with in the future if you buy it. Find out if it currently has any issues and what was done to it to repair it. Fluids should all have been changed for example.
It will also be hard to sell now and down the road, so if you go for it, you may be able to negotiate a better deal.

Who's sliders do you have? Do they make them with a step top on some spots as well? Your jeep looks badass with them!

I think you can do better... I paid $9,300 for my 2005.. 2-owner, 105k miles and clean title. Of course carfax does not report owners who do not really maintain their vehicles. Mine was disgusting, though fortunately I don't think it had ever been off road.

I've also read a lot of insurance headaches with salvage title vehicles.

Just need to check with your insurer, quick call avoids speculation. Mine (USAA) has no issues with salvage title insuring and even financing (but more stringent on price matching/below book).

I have a TJ because I already have an EXTRA LLLLLLLJ

They really are the best Jeep ever with the extra space, D44, longer rear DS and disc brakes all around. I wanted one as soon as they came out in 04 but had to wait 10 years. Just picked up the exact one I wanted this year and I am getting ready to mod. Good luck!
