2006 LJ hammer shift 1st to 2nd

I replaced the TCM/PCM last June due to hard shifting from first to second gear. (42RLE trany) The problem came back a few weeks ago. The trany was flushed last year when they were trying to diagnose the hard shifting. They could not get the trany to shift hard while the (Jeep) had it, and only replaced the tcm by my request. What could cause this issue twice. The jeep has only 40000 mile. Are there other electronic sensor that could mess with the tcm. Any ideas? Thanks

How hard is it shifting? I've got an 07 (we share the same trans) and it feels like a manual shift almost

The 42RLE has a few...nuances. It shifts hard, some run hot, some shudder. It's probably normal. It certainly shifts harder than a car I'll tell you that. But if you have nice, fresh fluid, and it doesn't knock you out of the Jeep, I think you're cool.

It shifts hard (hammer shift). It does not do it all the time, just when it wants too. Last time I had the problem it got progressively worse (more often, not really harder).

the 42RLE is a POS tranny. they don't seem to last very long. the hard shifting could be a ton of different things...so good luck is the best one could say from here... if you have the 7/70k warranty, keep driving it till it blows up or the warranty runs out.
