I've just bought brand new 2012 Wrangler and drove the Jeep little more than 800 miles in three weeks.
I've been experiencing accelerating problem from about 40 mph on, where when I want to ease in to accelerating, my Jeep doesn't want to accelerate until I depress the accelerator hard. Consequently, the transmission down shifts hard and the car accelerates hard. I didn't want to hard accelerate at all, but I was often force to hard accelerate because of this problem.
I've taken back the Wrangler to the dealer twice already and the dealer told me that they've flash the transmission with updated transmission software but the problem persists. The dealer eventually told me that there is no problem with my Wrangler and this is the way the new Wrangler performs.
I can't believe this is the way the 2012 Wrangler performs; if so, there is a major flaw with engineering of this vehicle. Rather, I'm thinking that either the engine may not be outputting full power or the transmission still may not be working correctly.
Is there anyone else experiencing this problem or have possible solutions?
Would appreciate input from you experts.
