$250 typo

I got a catalog in the mail today, advertising a 2" spacer lift without shocks for about thirty bucks. They also advertise the same kit WITH shocks for the same price.
I looked at their website, and with shocks it sells for $300.
Do you think I could get it for the price in the catalog? I mean, I have it in black & white, right?

I've been thinking about getting a little more clearance anyway, and I'm about to upgrade both bumpers, adding a swing out rear, with gas can holders.

(what would Jerry Do)

at least you could try. Look to see if they have a disclaimer to prices on magazines vs online or on the phone. If they do you are SOL if not call customer service and see what they can do for you.

If you pursued it you might be able to. I think this would fall under bait and switch tactics.

Probably not. Most companies have someone else print their catalogs and if you look I'm sure you will find printed somewhere "in very small print" that the company is not responsible for misprints.

Can't hurt to try, but no, they don't need to honor an obvious mistake. It's not bait and switch, it's a mistake. Even if the catalog doesn't have the fine print disclaimers. You've seen signs at the grocery store that say "due to advertising error..."

California has a law that says "lowest advertised price".

I doubt even California's law would force a seller to sell something at an advertised price that was clearly an unintentional misprint. I would only believe it does if you were to provide a link to the law that is clear in that it has no provision for unintentional misprints or errors.

Yep inside cover of the catalog has a thing stating they are not responsible for misprints

Just stating what our local newspapers Consumer Action Line has said. No more, no less.

The only way I could see it working is if you bought them and when they bill you, you call them and be like I thought it was $30 bucks! Not $300!

Maybe they will be like we can give you a deal, but most likely they will be like yeah sorry for the error. Would you like them still or your money back?

Yeah, I looked, there's a disclaimer inside the front cover.

It was Jeep Parts, Jeep Accessories, & Jeep Tops
I looked again today, and that part is not showing on their website now.
Someone I know suggested they'd just 'zero out' their inventory, to avoid the whole mess entirely.
