265/75/16 Duratracs

Hey everyone,

I did a lot of searching and couldn't find exact info I needed. So I have a 2001 Sahara 4.0 with a 2" BDS SL and am looking to put some duratracs on before winter. I was looking at getting a set of 265/75/16 duratracs but want to be sure about fit before I order. Has anyone run this on stock rims? I know I will likely have to limit the steering stop to compensate for the backspacing of stock rims but will this be enough? I was trying to stay with the stock rims to save a little money and also get a larger tire on since duratracs don't offer a 32" tire.

I guess you have a Rubicon if it's a stock 16" rim, most TJ's the stock size is 15".

The 265/75/16 should work fine w/ a 2 inch lift. That size is a 32" equivalent. I have a 2.5 lift and my next tire set will be that size.

I'm currently running that size of tire and model of tire on mine right now and it works. The only problem I run into is a slight rub on hard bumps, but I'm not running a lift so you should be fine.

Unfortunately it is not a rubi, just sahara with optional 16" wheel. Awesome, glad to hear someone else has run this. I was mostly worried about width with stock wheel backspace but it sounds like limiting the steering stop would be sufficient.
