3",2.5"?

So I want to lift my jeep and I was wondering if a 3" suspension lift would be better than a 2.5". I have 31s and I don't plan on going any bigger.

you won't gain anything...you can run 33's w/ a 3'' lift. but if all you want to run is 31's. you really don't need a lift.

I think if you plan to off road it with the 31s you would benefit from a small lift. 2" would be perfect for 31s and would give you plenty of flex room. Cheap way to go is a 2" spacer lift.

Another, possibly better idea would be to get a JKS 1.25" body lift with 1" motor mount lift and that would give you some more room with the 31s too. (Under $200 and pretty easy to install) Then later when you decide you want 33s (and you will) you can get a nice 2.5" suspension lift to go with it.

If you go as high as 3" you may start running into vibrations from the driveshaft being on too extreme angle. Will start to cost you more and more money.
With 31s I wouldnt go higher than 2"

x2 on all of the above. Keep in mind, the less you alter the suspension, the less likely you are to have to make adjustments to overcome the alterations....

If 31's is all you want, go 2" spacers, 100 bucks, couple hours, you're done. That's what we got, I like the look!
