i would buy the 4.5" lift. with an additional BL you are ready for 35s then.

the 4.5" lift is in real a bit higher than 5". with 33 it would look a bit to high in my opinion.

If your going 33's get the 4.5 kit with 3.5 springs. Either way your going to need an SYE. So in that case, get a 1" bl too and a flat skid while your at it.

Don't forget there's more to getting that extra inch properly installed than just the springs. With nearly any 3.5" lift, you can almost get away without a SYE kit and longer CV driveshaft but with 4.5" of suspension lift, you really need to also install a SYE and CV driveshaft.

However, RE's 3.5" lift is more like 4.5" and their 4.5" is more like 5.5". It'd really be a good idea for the SYE/CV driveshaft for their 3.5" too, since RE's 3.5" is more like 4.5". 4" and taller is the magic height where a SYE/CV driveshaft becomes the way to go.

Well weather I go with the 3.5 or 4.5 springs I was going to get the 4.5 kit. That comes with 8 new ca's and front tbar. I was also going to buy a rear adjustible tbar and sye and cv. Does any body have pics of 33's with the 4.5 springs?

I've got plenty of room for 33's with my 3.5 springs. And I plan on a 1"bl this summer.

This is the 3.5 with 32's... plenty of extra room.

@aztj:

your jeep looks great !!!

but i wouldn´t go higher with 33s. i think your amount of lift (should be about 4.25-4.5") looks perfect with the 33s. with the 32s on the pic it looks a bit to high im my opinion, but only a little bit.

I had the 3.5" springs on stock control arms, then upgraded to a long arm and it was a major improvement in the ride. Now I'm @ 4.5" springs w/35's. For 33's, I think the 3.5" springs are better - good match for the tire size and easier to get in and out of .

I think i'll get the 4.5 re sf kit with 3.5 springs. I can always get bigger springs later. I'll also get a rear track bar and sye and double cardian rear cv axle.

you can drop the TC a bit instead of installing the SYE and CV driveshaft when you buy the 3.5" springs.

first i would install the suspension only without the SYE. then you can test if you really need the 1" more gound clearance that you get when you remove the TC drop after installing the SYE.

IMO you should save the money (SYE/CV shaft) for other things that are more important than a bit more ground clearance.

and if you really need a bit more ground clearance then install a belly-up skidplate with the SYE. that gives you some more 2-3" ground clearance.

i have the amount of lift that you´ll get with the 3.5" RE springs an needed to drop the TC only 1/3" with some washers. and with the 35s i don´t need more ground clearance.

EDIT:
sorry, i didn´t want to say that i have the perfect setup.
but it works fine without any problems and the ride is much better than stock.

X2!!!

i'd go 3.5" springs also. that would be great for 33's and you can always add a 1" BL for 35's or just buy the new 4.5" coils.

sounds like you got it set straight. you'll be in good shape with the sye/cv and you'll be ready to handle some big tires with the upgraded rear axle and gears for them. plus, you'll already have the lift for the big tires

Red jeep in center of pic is Re 4.5 with 33's..does have 2" spacers in front. Tires are bridgstone at's. 33x12.50 15's. The jeep to to the right, I think has 4.5 Re springs as well, and those are 36's as I recall.

Yes I barrowed it for the trail run that day as Mine was in the shop. Did really well, I think the biggest shock was how well the tires did in the mud and muck. Trail 16 at windrock for those who have been there.
