3" BL potential probs

NO. im not even considering a 3" BL (just figured i would start with that so everyone knew ) Ok so im in the market for a TJ right now and there is one that i was kinda interested in..but he has a 3" body lift on the thing. What kind of problems could this cause me in the future if i did get it but removed the BL and just put a 1" BL in? thx

If you were gonna do a 3" body lift, I was seriously going to punch my monitor!

Problems with a 3" BL...Two words BODY SHEER!

ditch the 3" BL and go with a 3" coil lift. f you are keeping it mostly stock, but considering slightly oversized tires, a 1" BL is fine to prevent rubbing.

probably not, look at the body where it mounts, see if there's any cracks, or bending. if it was a yj or cj i'd be concerned.

There would of course be modifications done to some other things to accept the lift.

The transfercase linkage was probably modified, and the radiator shroud as well. Some break lines might have also need to be extended.

older, more rust, and weaker mounts from age, and how long the lift was in place putting more stress on it, thats all i was thinking. he also might have problem with gas filler neck, and fuel lines and whatever had to be lengthened to get that much body lift. i'm not sure cuz i've never used body lift, or removed one that size.
