- shocks
- perhaps TC lowering kit

DON´T INSTALL A DPA WITHOUT A FRONT TRACKBAR RELOCATION BRACKET!
That will cause bump steer.

depending on brand of the track bar and springs I'd say about 600 bucks is missing from that being a complete kit.

I'd ask more questions about what brand the coils are, how old they are, and how much bump stop they were running. Also ask about the track bar. Again, brand is a big factor as to whether it is worth the coin.

extended sway bar links, longer brake lines, If the the track bar is adjustable or a bit longer than stock it should be good so no need for a dpa, you will also need rear track bar relocation bracket (drop bracket) or a new rear track bar, with 3" of lift, control arms are not required, what size tires are you running? Bump stops will vary with tire size and at last as mentioned by nico, you will need longer shocks..

if you're a beginner then i'd recommend you go with a kit just so you have everything there. I my self would go with mix and match now that i know what i have to do (experience gained from my kit install) however honestly its simple as hell.

well im like mediocre, i have installed a few kits on wranglers with my buddies and a BB on my XJ in high school, i just dont want to forget anything if i build this one, plus i never mixed and matched so i t may be fun to see how i can piece it together on a lower budget and still have an effective wheeler...

I pieced mine together. Saved quite a bit of $$$ doing so. I got 3" FT springs, Teraflex front disconnect sway bar links, Currie extended rear sway bar links, FT shocks, used some hockey pucks (epoxied or bolted) on the spring pads for bump stops. I have my front track bar re-drilled. As far as the rear track bar, I have an 8.8, but OME sells a rear track bar relocation bracket for about $20. I think Quadratec sells it. I have an SYE, but you can use fender washers and longer bolts for your t-case drop, or buy some JKS motor mount spacers, and a 1" body lift, and you probably won't even need to drop the t-case much, if at all. I would also recommend the AA shifter relocation bracket. The more stock parts you keep, the easier it is to get cheap or free if you break it.

As far as the front brake lines. You can fork over the money for some fancy longer ones, or do what I did. Drill and tap your existing ones.

I used a 2" bracket with 2 holes in it.. top end goes in the original hole and the bottom end goes to the brake line.
on this pic its covered with rust right behind the tire... A pre made bracket with 2 holes is easier to do than having to look for a drill and a tap

Not when you have a drill and a tap, and don't have a pre-made bracket.

the coils are rough country as are the other parts. they had only about 500 miles on them so fairly new and the track bar i don't think has hardly any where on it

i installed the lift. at first it gave me almost 4.5" of lift in the rear and almost 5 in the front. good.. np.. a month later the front started sagging. now i think the front is down to 3.5 while the rear passenger side is down to mabye 4 or 3.75 while the drivers rear side is half an inch taller.. so i called them i'm like wtf guys, i dont even offroad and your lift is crapping out on me.. so they send me new ones that i never even bothered swapping.

I dont think rc makes 3" lifts man. those springs have to be from a 4" lift.

yeah that seems like a good price.. perhaps you can even just ask for the track bar with no springs..
If i could do it again, i would go with RE 3.5 kit with ome shocks.

If that's a rough country track bar, it's probably for a 4"-6" lift. I think that's the only size they make, and I don't think it will fit anything less than that.
