To the OP redkaz04,

Updates? Did you ever decide on a lift?

Just curious. My wife was not having an easy time at getting in my Jeep after any of the upgrades I made. A simple set of grab handles with one over the passenger door made all the difference in the world to her, even after ditching the nerf bars. Here is a few pics of different size lifts and tires on my Jeep over the years, and how it sits now.

2" BB, 1.25" BL, and 32's

3" front springs, 2.25" BB rear, 1.25" BL, and 33's

3" springs all around, 1.25"BL, and 35's

I didn't read the whole thread but I would go with 33s over 32s. There are a lot more tire options for 33s

From what I am learning it seems like going from 30's to 33' will be much involved for my 2.5l 5-speed. Seems most ppl feel the need to regear, and I need a bigger lift. Plus I've read that 33's put a lot of strain on the drivetrain of a DD. What about 32's, do I need to regear? Do they put too much strain on my TJ?
