I like it! Great Saturday afternoon project to get a custom look without replacing the whole cluster.

Needle nose pliers (fingers wouldnt reach to turn the bulb bases)

I don't go to jeepforum.

I just checked that link since you said something and there is only 11 pages. My account is setup for 40 posts per page. Not the forum default.

I have done that on mine too, but I went with super white. These were all 1 second exposures, so if there is any wiggle, that would explain it.

Some have mentioned not being able to use their dimmer. On my 97, the dimmer works just fine with these. Mine never worked all that much (ie I couldn't tell much difference between full bright and full dim, even with the regular bulbs), but it does adjust it a bit. The nice thing about the white is that even at full bright, it is not overpowering at all, just very clean.

I had considered the blue, as my stereo and switches are all blue, but I thought I'd get sick of looking at it after a while. I didn't want red, though if I could find a way to color my needles red and still have them light up, I'd do it. So white it was.

Here ya go.

Yes, I did this with the power all off, just pulled the lever to turn on the dashes, so no smartass comments about low RPM's, no gas, or battery or oil pressure.

Yes, it is the tripower bulb.

You do NOT have to order the bases as the ones in your dash will let the bulb pop out and you can pop in the tri powers. You just have to be careful when putting them in.

Also, the LED's are +/- sensitive. If they don't work when you put them in, take the base out turn 180 degrees, and try again.

I had one bad base, so at .29 each, it isn't a bad idea to order at least a few.

Thanks. It was an easy mod, and honestly something I had wanted to do since I first got the Jeep, just never found a good solution until that thread on JF appeared.

I did this to Anyas dash tonight. I have to say that at first I was very skeptical about the outcome having dealt with LEDs in my honda. I am very impressed at the light output of those LEDs.

I was big into hondas before I got the jeep. My honda was parked on the side of the road and a 14 year old girl totaled it out for me. I miss that car still but it was the best change that could have happened to me.

Not only was I in a honda but it was dropped 3". That's quite a drop for a prelude.

Also i'm wondering what kind of light is the shift light any one tried replacing it too?

I am udderly amazed!! I can't picture this one. My last car was a 98 altima that was slammed too, the hood was at about my knee!! I didn't even wanna mention it on here, didn't wanna ruin my Street Cred!! No, i really don't care just joking, but it's funny how you see someone with one vehicle and could never picture them with something else. I know I will always own a Jeep as long as I can possibly afford to have one. It may not always be my daily driver as it is now but I will always have one!!
