Question 31" tire questions

Hey guys, some quick questions on 31" tires for my '06 wrangler:
1. I know 31's will fit, should i be concerned about anything?
2. At first, I wanted to get Goodyear Duratracs, but I'm curious about Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10.
heres the link from DT (Tire Reviews - Discount Tire Direct)

what do you guys think about the DynaPro's? Any other tires i should consider?

I just went from 30X9.5X15's to 31X10.5X15's i got the Goodyear wranglers, and really like them. The only thing i noticed is theirs a noticeable loss of power, but its worth it in my oppinion. ( i also have the 4 banger )

I've got the Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 on my 2000; overall I like'em, but they suck in NM mud, there alright in snow, as far as wet roads there not bad but you still have to be careful. The type of tire you put on your jeep will kind of depend on what you use the jeep for, I overall prefur a mud tire, but the Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10 came with my jeep and I can't afford to replace them something else just yet.

Hope this helps a bit for you.

auto or stick cause 4bangers with 5spds come with 4.10 gears stock no? wouldnt make much difference, but with a 6cyl and a auto and 3.07s it might. just a thought

Hi, from my experience unless you re-gear you will notice a difference no matter if it is a 4 cyl. or 6 cyl., depending on the gearing you have it may not be as noticeable but there will be a difference changing tire sizes without re-gearing, I hope this helps some.

I have had the DynaPro RF10's on my 1 Ton Ram Dually for over a year now and they have been great tires for me. They seem to perform very similar to Toyo Open Countrys but alot cheaper since they are made in Korea.

Probably the most often-asked question around here, and other Jeep sites. Yes, the 31-10.50s will fit. They *may* rub the front lower control arms at lock, or not, it depends on the size of the tire (yes, they do vary by brand). I've never had a problem with BFGs, but Yokohama are a bit wide for their size, and I can get my Yoko winter tires to rub at flex and lock, but even then it's just a sidewall rub, nothing grabbing on suspension parts.

Assuming your axle is centered, though, and you run a "regular width" 10.50 and stick to a 15x8" rim, you should be fine even in the most vigorous off-pavement usage.

I run GY Wrangler Authority's on my current Jeep and had them on the last Jeep. Great in snow and rain, not a lot of experience in mud, but what I have had, no problems, quite ride. They are on sale at Walmart for $150 each.

The Authority's seem to be a cross between the dura-trak and MT/R's. My current Jeep came with minimal tread MT/R's. Not a lot of experience with them, but major road noise!

The Duratrac 15x10.5x31s are in actuality 30.5 inches tall. Considering I have 3.07s (for now) on my Jeep (2001 4.0 5sp), the 1/2 inch not only helps with clearance, it helps with oomph!

So far, (2000 miles) I REALLY like the Duratracs.

Which set of dynapro's did you have because they make a AT and a MT set?

MT's on mine but I don't think the AT's would be any better on quality they are cheap, my Hercules terra trac AT's have taken more abuse and still look new and I'm pretty sure they were less expensive

Can't comment on the Dyna whatevers, but Duratracs are great and if you join Treadlightly you can get the $100 rebate on 4 GY Wranglers....
