31s or 32s? What should I do?

Hey Guys! I want to upgrade to either a 31 or 32 inch Goodyear MTR Tires. I currently have a 1.25 JKS BL and 1 MML. If I go for the 32s I will add the OME 2.5 lift but if I go with the 31s I will just stay with the BL. I use my Jeep as a Daily Driver, so what I am asking is, will the 32s still be good for highway driving? I have the 4.0L and 3.73 gears (02' Sahara). I love my jeep and will mainly stay on road but like the look of lifted jeeps! Advice would be greatly appreciated.
Also, how are the MTRs? or maybe the KM2s?

FWIW - I have the OME kit sitting in my garage waiting until I can afford 32's. I'd never be happy w/ 31's.

If you are planning to add a 2.5" lift and already have a 1.25" BL . . . why not just go with 33's . . . you should have room . . . I'd go at least with the 32s.

How would he be with 3.73's with 32's or 33's though?

My jeep came stock with 31's and they were way to small. Save up and buy at least 33's. You still will not have to re-gear with a 6cyl!

Look at the cost of 31's vs. 32's. A majority run 31's results in a better price. Blow a tire somewhere and try and find a 32 vs a 31.

If your not gonna take it off road a good amount of time it might be better to go with an AT tire. Theyre going to last a hell of a lot longer, and if you do some moderate off roading theyll perform well.

I've got a 3.5" lift and love my 32's. Went with them mainly because of my gears (3.07's)... the next stop will be 36's or bigger.

I have 32's sitting in my garage waiting to be put on and have 3.73's, so I guess it can't be too bad compared to you. Does it suck?

i have 32'' with 3.73 it does OK and I have the newer auto 42rle transmission.. I Imagine it wll do better with a manual trans or a older trans with no overdrive..

My vote is 32'' but no more unless you plan on regearing.

No, it actually does really well. I have a '97 with a 3-speed so it helps, but it'll do 65 on the highway no problems.

I've heard great things about the OME lift. Go for the 32"s. I'd recommend the KM2s. I've run them on my truck (30,000 miles and counting) and have a friend running them on his TJ. Check out 2002Apex...He's running 32"s with a 4" suspension lift on the daily driver.

OK! I think i'm gonna go with the 32x11.50x15 KM2s and the OME 2.5 lift. About to spend a lot of $!
Will I need to get wheel spacers or new wheels with more back spacing or could I keep the stock ones? I have the 15x8 canyon wheels now.
By the way- anyone know of a good place to get the OME lift?

I ran the OME 2.5 lift for 7 years with 31"s and 3.07 gears. The lift rides nice, shocks are great, was never satisfied with the height though.Gearing was OK with 31,s (4.0 5 speed manual),but I bet 5th gear is like brand new on my 97 tj LOL..Could only use it over 70mph, flat road,no headwind.

Pretty sure you'll need spacers or new wheels.

I run 31's with a 5spd and 4.0, 3.73 gears. If you go by the charts anything bigger with the 3.73 gears and you will lose gas mileage. #2's or 33's will run with the 3.73 just not the optimum gearing.

You will rub at full turn with those wheels.
And, you want LESS backspacing, not more.
