i finally got around to putting my 5.5" lift on my new jeep which has 33's, here is a picture if it can help at all. I don't think it looks bad, I actually kinda like it, wish I could go to 35's but to much money to spend in upgrades right now.

'04 TJ X, 5.5" lift, 33's, locked front. smittybuilt 10k winch.

go with 35's I have a 4 inch lift with 35's and they clear fine, a 6 inch would be more than enough room.

6" is way too tall for 33" tires, I wouldn't even install a 6" lift for 35" tires. I have an RE 4.5" long-arm suspension lift with a 1" body lift and I have more than enough clearance for even 37" tires.
When you have a choice, buy American.

RE 3.5" coils, with 2" coil spacers, i had the spacers laying around from along time ago, and decided to put those on instead of buying new coils right now. Hopefully do longarms once summer comes around and have the money.

This isn't 6" but it is a RE 4.5" LA and 33's, plenty of room for 33" tires. 6" does seem excessive.

Mine is a 5.5" longarm on 33's. While 35's look great and would easily fit, for me as a semi daily driver, I didn't want to have to upgrade the axles and all all the other things underneath to support 35s. I'm sure I can still go over almost all the things that a 35 could. I remember when I was looking at a 4" with 35s, the responses here unanimously told me to ditch the 35s and drop down to 33

Here is 33s with a 2" BB. Cheap and no extra work needed to run this tire size.

I would go 6in with 33s. So maximum flex can be retained. I flex 31s into the fender with a 4 in lift.

I do now have 33s, and I did lose some flex.

I run a 5.5" RE lift in the front with 3/4" spacer and clear 38.5x14 tires. I had a 3.5" Tera flex with 33's for years with no issues.

This is a RE 4.5" short arm running 33x11.5 with 4" backspacing. 35s would definitely rub (the 33s barely hit the bushwhacker flares at full flex).
