What brand/style would you go with for street...weekend trails. I was going to get the Pro-Comp m/t since you can buy 4 get one free....but I have heard some people say no way. Lets here some opinions...

Talking Mtr!

I love my Goodyear MTRs!

If you can swing it; you should look into a set they will go anywhere not too loud and all the beef you need when you are in the mud or Rocks.

i feel the buy 4 get one free is a slight rip off. price out 4 pro comp MT 500.94 vs lets say 4 bfg MT's 599.96. its 100 buck difference but the BFG has a lot better name and production life. i myself would go with the BFG just remember these were priced out as 31x10.50's

I have x terrain tires on my old cj and they are great
alot of people I run with have BFG's M.T and really like them for trails too.
I have swampers on my yj and they do suck in the rain on the street but nothing better in the woods. I think they are built with harder rubber and that makes them spin eaiser on a wet street.

I've got the 33" BFG Mud terrains. My jeep does a lot of street driving and occassional off roading. They work well for me!

Im getting 33" tsl radials, but since you want to get the pro-comp deal, I would get the x-terrains. they are a nice tire.

I hear that the pro-comp mud terrains arnt good tires btw.

ive had the pro comp muds got them on the same deal buy 3 get the 4 free
they ore good on the road a little noisier on pavment than my bfg's where but they chunk out on the rocks but grip just as good as bfg mud the xterrain I here suck in mud

If you look at the price of the pro comps tire they cost more per tire than last month
like the muds lats month where $160per tire and the xterrain
was $190 per tire and now is $194 for the mud and $211 for the xterrain those are 33 12.50 15

I'm ordering tsl radial's friday

I have the BFG Mt's 32/11.5/15, I bought 5 one month ago. I had my lift done by 4WheelParts but not my tires. They jacked the price up and then offerred the buy 3 get one free scam. Its a bunch of B.S, just my opinion. I paid $779 for 5 tires included lifetime balancing, mounting, tax, and install. I bought mine at Discount Tire because they are close to my house, just work with them on the price they do not want to be undersold, the first price from them was $1079.
Also I bought the Pro Comp Xterrians two years ago and I can tell you they do not wear well. The Pro Comp MT's look good but I was told by a Pro Comp rep they would not last as long as the BFG's because they are made of softer compound. Why buy them when they may be almost as good as the BFG's but will not last or wear like the BFG's. You get what you pay for.

So far so good. They have great grip in my driveway!

Honestly, I don't think I have 500 miles on them yet. So for now I really don't have an opinion.

I will say that under 10 mph you can feel every bit of tread turning underneath you. (kinda bumpy)

I had pro comp M/Ts, got 37,000 miles out of them, was really pleased with the tires, they lasted almost as long as the BFG's M/T I previously had. Currently I am running Maxxis Big Horn Mudders (33"), got them in August, for app. 200 less than pro comps.
