33s no lift is it possible

is it possible to put on 33x12.50r15 on a wheel that has 3 5/8" backspacing without any kind of lift?

Yes, but you'll rub at full lock and going over speed bumps... I did it for 2 weeks till my lift could be installed. No lift.

I think you can I know 31s fit with major rub you'll have bad rubbing you'll have to add washers to stop the rub with the tires. Honestly I'd prlly wait until after the lift it messes up ur steering and you can't cut the wheel if you don't know how to fix it ( scary) and btw discount tire will refuse to put 33s on a stock jeep.

Major rub with 31's? I had very minor rubbing with my 31" BFG A/T KO's... put 2 washers under each steering stop and now no rubbing at all. Max tire size I'd go with stock suspension is 31"...IMO, you're asking for trouble going any higher.

I run 31's on my 2002 everyday and have not had them run once and they have been on over a year now. What width 31 are you running? Maybe if you shoehorned a 12.5 wide in there.

A lot of tire shops won't sell you the tire if it wont fit. They don't want to be liable. Why put 33's on a stock jeep? You negate the benefit of running 33's because you can't go anywhere off asphalt. In fact, you'd probably damage your jeep on asphalt.

31s are the best tire for a stock jeep. Capable, an still able to give you some flex in your stock suspension. They
Make some great tires in 31s. Just look around.

On way those 33s will work are if you're mall crawlin' in 4L. You'll still probably bust something anyways.

you can run the 33's with a 2" puck lift and a 1.25" body lift. Shouldn't be a problem.

I have 285/75 16's (metric equivalent to 33's, measure smaller than 33 and are only 11" wide as opposed to the usual 12") with 1" Body Lift and have no problem. Have been off road, nothing major, and do not disconnect sway bar and had no problem. Just one small shiny spot on the sway bar from rubbing slightly.

If he did the shocks, I'm gonna say it was a suspension lift....

I run a 2" bb and 33's. Trimmed flares to help with rubbing offroad. It can be done, it's just not the recommended method for doing things... Depends on how you're planning on using your Jeep. Bought mine used for $50 and paid a buddy another $50 to install it... Works for me. Eventually, I'll replace the shocks with longer ones, but for now it's ok.....

My 31's only rub at full lock, my suspension is all stock. I flexed my Jeep to the point that I had a tire off the ground, and had about 1/2" between my tire and my fender flare. Though, that was with my old tires, with about 3/8" tread left on them.

You could get a set of flatties or tubes and a set of wheels that had less backspacing...along with a little trimming in the rear probably

Of course, if the reason you're wanting to run 33's without any lift is a lack of funds for the lift, these options aren't going to help...as they aren't cheap.
