33's on my 06 LJ

Ok sorry guys I know this has probly be done many times, but I have not had luck finding outer threads on this. Anyway I need some help figureing out what I need to regear my 06 LJ to with 33x12.5x15 tires its got the 4.0L motor and the 6 speed tranny everything is stock, It has a 2" body lift but I am thinking about pulling that out and going with a 3in. suspension lift. Thanks for your help

Ummmmmmmm 33's like 4.56's or 4.88's with the 6 speed, if your in flatland mostly go with the 4.56's, if you live and drive mostly around the hills go with 4.88's.

Think about ditching the 2" body lift, go with a 1" bodylift and a 2" suspension lift(OME).

Your engine will not struggle and your mileage should return to stock.

There is barely any difference between 4.56's and 4.88's.........which is why I suggested gearing based on your surroundings. If you live in flat land, go with 4.56's........but if there are a ton of hills and differing elevation then 4.88's would be ideal. I run 4.88's with my 6 speed LJ equipped with 33's and live in the mountains. I get a solid 20mpg at 55-60mph.
