If it were me... Wait, I am doing the exact same thing at present..
Anyway, I would wait until you have enough to regear to at least 4:56s.. I currently have 33" X 12.50s w/ 3:73s and a D44 and it gets on my nerves sometimes. Yeah, it will get up to speed, but it takes a while. I even have some cute little performance upgrades installed as well..
I am due to have my 4:56s installed in a couple of weeks and they said that should restore me to "stock" power. I'll put it to you this way; my buddy has an 05 "X" TJ which is pretty much stock other than 31"X10.50s and his has a vast amount more "Giddy-up" than Mine.. But, mine is bigger than his though... FOR NOW!
You can totally keep the stock 3:73s if it doesn't bother you all that much.. It kinda bothers me because my TJ isn't my DD, so when I drive it I can't even come close replicating the power of my DD (which can get up and runnin' with very little provocation). I suppose I am just being nit-picky here... It really isn't all that bad, but when you drive a stock Jeep w/o 33"s, you will be jealous about the power you are missing.
