33x10.5 tires fit no lift?

In about a month or so i'll finally be ordering everything for my jeep. But i have one problem. Im either going to get the 33x10.5 Bf goorich M/t's, or the 33x10.5 BF goodrich A/T's. I dont have enough money to get a suspension lift to go on my jeep after getting those tires and new wheels. All i could get is the Rouch Country suspension lift, but i have heard they arent all good.

So could I fit 33x10.5 tires on my jeep without a lift? I will not be taking it offroading most likely and keeping it on the road. Ill have to save up the money to get a lift before i take it offroad if im able to fit these tires without a lift.

The first time you hit a speed bump with 33's on a stock lift you'll rip your flares off

Not exactly, but it's not recommended. Depends on how long you'll be waiting to put the lift on. Are you planning on trimming the flares? If so, do it first, then big tires... I did 33's with no lift for 2 weeks before my lift was installed and was fine, but I was very careful over bumps etc... And absolutely no offroading.

So I might have been exagerating a little bit But 33's on a stock lift is not what you will want for a permanent solution

Well you could fit them but I think you should get your priorities straight first. I mean if you can afford BF Goodrich M/T's than you should be able to afford a lift too.

Good point, unless you are in NEED of new tires, consider lifting it first and getting the tires later.

Thanks everybody for the info. Would anybody recommend Rouch Country suspension lifts? I have enough for the 3.25 lift, but ive heard that they arent all that good.

Installing 33" tires without any lift would not be a wise thing to do. Wait until you can afford to do it right by installing them with sufficient clearance with a suspension lift or a combination of a suspension and small 1" body lift.

For 33" tires, 4" of lift is best for a TJ. Some "get away with" only 3" of lift with 33" tires but without added trimming of the wheel wells, 3" isn't enough for 33" tires unless the Jeep only gets driven on the street.

I think the biggest complaint I have heard on RC is that there shocks are not valved correctly for a jeep, creating a rough ride

Many of us consider Rough Country, Skyjacker, ProComp, Rancho, and a few others to be ok as an entry level suspension lift but still, a second-tier choice. But if you want to really get into offroading and don't want to have to upgrade and install a better lift later, there are better brands.

P.S. I meant to give a few suggested brands if you want to start off with a tier one brand... Currie, Full Traction, Rock Krawler, Rubicon Express, JKS, Rockmen, etc.

Im pretty happy with it. I did not have a soundbar in previously, or a domelight...so I didnt really have anything to compare it to. I am pleased with the sound of it though

I like the RC 2.5" springs personally. I bought the OME Heavy Duty kit. But after taking off the hard top and spare it got too light and the ride was very harsh. I'm running the RC 2.5" springs now with a 3/4" spacer in the front and really like it. Ride has much improved, although a tad bouncy on some roads. I do still have the OME shocks, and have not tried the RC shocks.

I installed the RC 3.25 combo kit last week. It came with the 2.5" springs, 3/4" spacers, RC 2.2 shocks, new sway bar links, rear trac bar relocator, and a TC drop.I only put the 3/4" spacers in the front because I wanted it to sit level. I haven't put the TC drop in yet. Its dropped right now with a couple of washers and that seems to be doing the trick. The TC drop that came with the kit looks to be over and inch and I don't think I need to drop it that far.
As far as ride quality goes, it rides better then the 2" skyjacker BB with hydro 7000 shocks did. Its a little bouncy but Ive heard the same about lifts that cost 5 times as much as my RC kit did. For the money it seems to be a great kit. If you look in my profile you can see what 33x12.5s look like with a 2" BB but I havnt added pics of the RC lift yet.

On a related note I have a skyjacker 2" BB with hydro 7000 shocks and bump stop extenders for sale.

why dont you just get a budget boost. You can run 32s and a 2 or 2.5 in budget boost with no problem. I had 32s on my TJ with no lift and took it wheeling on some good trails.

I just asked this last night, though your title was more clear. I'm lookin at the RC lift as well. No rocks to crawl here in Orlando (except the occasional parking curb) so it looked like a good option for the mud. Hoping to order it this week (maybe I can get my car sold and get the tires too)

I got mine off of ebay for $360 shipped. So far so good. I did the install by myself in about 5 hours but It was my first lift install, plus I did a front end alignment and re-centered my steering wheel. But It took me an hour just to get the front trac bar bolt out. The t55 head was striped so I ended up welding a nut to the end of it and using an impact to get it out. Just make sure you start spraying all your nuts and bolts a few days before you plan to install it that way everything has a chance to loosen up a little.

But I will be honest with you, save the $600 bills or so and get the Full Traction 3" suspension lift, you will not be disappointed - Trust me. Look at my sig.

Mine came from the previous owner with 33x12.5 on Americam Racing Baja wheels, 1 1/4 BL and Bushwhacker 6" flare. I ran like that for over two years and did not rub on anything.I used it through light trails and decent dips and holes. I recently added a 2" BDS.

You can go off-road with the 33's on a stock suspension. Just pick your path or maybe I'm the only one on here who actually believes that.

Sometimes the path picks you... I rubbed my flares offroad with my 2" coil spacers, so I trimmed flares...

I just got 33x12.50 installed about a week ago and rub when I go over speedbumps ect. The new tires looked too aggressive to not take it offroading so I went on a few trails and only rubbed a little bit! However, I am ordering a 1.25" BL and 1.75" BB within the next week cause I can't stand how close my front tires come to the flares.

I did the 2.25 budget lift with 32's. Got it up off the tires. Under a hundred bucks.
