39.5 on a 97 wrangler ???

what would it take to get 39.5 to fit on this jeep? could i get away with less lift if i went with the poision spider fenders front and rear?
maybe i would end up brakeing more stuff than it would be worth?

thanks shawn

if you dont change the axles youd definitely break something. Need a lift, axles, driveline mods and whatnot.

you need a ton of work.

whats your budget? there is a lot that has to be done...axles, gears, lift, sye/cv, steering mods, brakes...what transmission do you have? you can fit them with a non-excessive amount of lift but you'll definitely need some cutting or comp cut rear or something.

You're gonna be in for a world of hurt. Even 35s take serious work. The lift will be the cheapest part of that mod. And none of the components ie; steering, suspension, axles, brakes, ect, will handle them. It can be done, but good luck. How much are you willing to spend?

Of all the components listed the most obvious has yet to be added. You HAVE to stretch your wheelbase. Anything above 35s, in my opinion, needs some stretch. For 39.5s you should shoot for the ~106" range depending on what kind of terrain you plan to wheel.

Read this thread. Read every thread in it and then make up your mind if you want to go bigger.

the cheapest. 4 inch lift, 2 inch coil spacer, 3 inch body. LCA. UCA, and shaft upgrades. that will fit some 39.5

39.5s with 4.88 gears (i think 5.13 or lower isnt´t possible with a D35) would be very sluggish.

I've had a few women tell me both of those, not sure if they were talking about the same things!
