4.0 swap specifics

First post!

Well, after only 116k miles, the engine is gone in my 02 TJ. I've been looking around in yards, and they're wanting $1500-1900. A reman is anywhere between $15xx and $21xx.

As I understand that, swap-wise, I can use any 99 and up engine. I have two (or three) questions about this:

1) - The 4.0 in the 02 Wranglers had a block casting # of xxxxxx328. Correct?

2) - My current block has the 90 degree oil filter mounting. Am I going to run into issues if I get an engine with the downward-angle mounting?

I understand that there are other issues with using an older model engine in the 02 - lack of coil rail mounting in the 630 head, accessory mounting in the 449 blocks, etc. I ask these questions, because of the significant price differences between this and this.

As far as I understand it, all new(er) production blocks have all the mounting holes/bosses, but the older production blocks do not. Is this correct?

Thank you, in advance, for any information you all may be able to provide.
