4.56 vs 4.88 gears????

I am all done with armoring up my jeep and now to junk that dana 35. Im looking at ECGS's Ford 8.8 with an ox locker and i thought i wanted 4.88's? whats the difference?? i dont plan on runnin any bigger than 37's later on in the far future, 33's for now and 35's next. Thanx

What's trans do you have? In general if you plan to run 37's at some point then 4.88's would be helpful.

its a 2005 sport automatic, a 231 i believe??

I think for the 05 auto with plans for 37's.. 4.88's. I am sure some one else will chime in.
