Regear, like Odhinn said. SOME say the wider throttle body makes a difference or a CAI setup will help, but any gains seem minimal.

If you want 33's regear to 4.88 if you have a manual. With my TJ SE on 33's and 4.88, it has about the same performance as the stock gearing and wheels.

You will NOT get the highway performance the 4.0 gets, even with the 4.88, but you can hold 70-75 easily enough until you hit a hill. Even then, I can maintain 60-65 up the hill for the most part, unless it is a LONG or steep one.

Throttle body doesn't really do anything worthwhile. I did it this past summer and haven't noticed any difference. Well, sounds a little different I guess. No noticed improvement in power or economy.

I did the throttle body this summer as well. I can tell a difference in both low end and highway cruising with the 4.0 body. It is much easier to accelerate from 50-70 and maintain the speed than it was before the swap.
Gears are the only thing that will significantly help you with your set up though. Unless you have the cash laying around to do a turbo, or an engine swap.

Regearing costs about 1000 or so, parts and labor (mainly labor), but you can find deals or a local 4x4 club member can help you and save some serious $$. If you're going to do that, consider an axle shaft upgrade to Yukons or Super 35 kit, as they include a locker and provide a stronger shaft, which will help when turning the 33's.

MANY will say to ditch it for an 8.8 or a 44, but with the 2.5, the Super 35 is a great alternative. The cost will be a bit more than the regear install, but worth it for the peace of mind, the locker, and going lots of places with that 'lowly' 2.5.
