4 hours later, I got my duster deck cover and bikini top on!

When I bought this TJ it came with a bikini top and deck cover. I never before had either and the PO told me he never put them on. I figured it would be simple enough. Wow. Had to remove a lot of my soft top hardware and the padding from the roll bar above both doors to get it all on. Had to loosen the speaker pods on the soundbar to fish the straps through too. The joys of owning a Jeep!

You must have had a heck of a time to put it on. It takes my fiance and I about 10 min to put my safari top and duster on. A little longer if we don't put the duster in the rail on the passenger side first. But not even close to 20 min total. I don't need to mess with the roll bar padding above the doors nor do I need to loosen the soundbar to pull the straps through. Do you have the door surrounds? I don't and it takes less time to strap everything on. Actually we put the safari and deck cover on the morning before I went on a run lol.

A brand new bikini top is always going to be tough the first couple times you install it. Best tip I can give you is to let it sit in the sun for a few hours before trying to install it. It'll stretch out from the heat and be a much easier install.

Give it some time and the sun and rain will help stretch it....mine is about 5 years old and goes on in about 5 minutes for everything (including windows).

Yeah there was no way it was stretching enough to wrap around the rollcage without removing the zip off covers and the foam padding. As far as the tailgate bar, the back of the cover seemed to be missing any way to slide the bar through and attach it.
