4 inch lift

ok I am down to two lifts to put on my 2004 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (LJ), the Zone 4 inch suspension lift or the 4 inch teraflex 4 inch suspension lift. I know for sure I am getting Bilstein 5100 shocks to accompany the kit. my buddy has the teraflex lift and clears 35s but it rides like a tank. He says his rides like that because of the teraflex shocks he went with, not the springs. How much of it depends on the springs? I don't want it to ride too soft but i don't wanna feel like i lose control going over every bump because of how harsh it is. i know zone is made by BDS which is a good company but teraflex is also a good company. I'm torn guys. any advice or input?
