4" lift 1" BL 33" tires

Anyone running the titled set up? And if so is it too much lift for 33" tires? (Photos appreciated)

With a 4" lift you could do 35s. But loose flex. I have a 4" with 33s. Also not body lift.

Losing flex depends on how much bump stopping is required, what type of fenders run, and the overall length and travel of your springs and shocks(which are normally the limiting factor for bolt on setups).

For 33's, depending on width of tires, bsing on rims, shocks, fenders etc, you can run a 2" SL with a 1" BL on stock fenders with no rubbing at full stuff. For sloppy builds(no attn. to details on equipment used and their specs.) 4" lifts will clear 33's no issue normally.

Why not just do a 3" sl and 1" bl?

The above mentioned setup will look alright and you'll have enough room for the 33's for sure but they might look a little small.

A 4" SL and a 1" BL is more commonly used for 35" tires. If you want to run 33" tires, a 3" SL and 1" BL is ideal in my opinion to get the recommended 4" of clearance.

Without cutting or replacing your fenders, a 2" SL and 1" BL doesn't provide enough clearance to offroad with 33" tires on anything tougher than a very gentle trail unless you cripple the suspension with extra-tall bump stops.

I have a 2" budget boost and a 1" bl right now.. It looks way too small to me. I just wasn't sure 1" extra in a 3" SL would be enough.

I'm debating a 3" or 4".. Along with the 1" bl and 1" mml.

To run 33's all you need is 2" SL and a 1" BL. Look for IslandTJ's build here on WF, or on youtube to see it Jeep in action. He did it right. We built 2 nearly identical to his build too. Fits 33's with no rubbing.

if you're debating...i strongly suggest you run the 3" suspension with the 1" body and you'll be fine with 33's

if you do the 4 with 1 you'll want 35's for sure and then you'll spend another 5k on doing those lol...

Another vote for 2-3" SL and 1" BL. It's a solid combo.

What is the price on a basic 3.5" MC? What I saw was around $2000... Is that right or am I looking at a different kit?

Or you can go Rock Krawler 3.5" Short Arm Flex system with Bilstein 5100s shipped for $1441.68. Bump it another $300.14 for the X Factor kit 3.5" height. Just sayin'

Price edit for upgrade.

Yea it's a solid quality kit but with the metal cloak you get uppers and the duroflex joints as well dual rate coils. Worth the extra 600 in my opinion.

Yeah the DF joints alone make it worth the extra price. Not to mention MC's trackbars have the most clearance bar none, no cheesy drop pitman arm/front TB relocation bracket, tcase drop, or quick disconnects. Too much fluff in that kit IMO.

My kit was the "lite" kit and was a little over $2k but it included everything except 1 bolt. (Rear upper track bar bolt) The factory installed a smaller dia bolt so I bought a new grade 8. My kit came with OME shocks. It is really an impressive kit. The duroflex joints flex like crazy and ride better than stock.

For me, it was the best value as opposed to sourcing everything separately.

Not to hijack thread.
But That looks sweet. I have a 2" Bds and was going to add 1 1/4 body lift.
Would that be enough to run 33's on the stock rubi rims?

By the numbers ( 2+1.25=3.25 ) it would be close.. The truth is my "3.5 in" lift actually netted 4+ in of lift (5 with the taller tires) so I expect that you might get some rubbing at full flex or full turn. Mine did and I had to use alloy 1.5 in adapters to get factory rim clearances. Had I gone with aftermarket rims with less backspacing i wouldn't have needed the adapters... But new rims we just not in the budget (yet...) .

That's the way it goes though, one change begets the need for another.

Thanks. I guess with the numbers it is close. Some lift brands seems to give a little different actual result in height. My 2 inch lift gave me about 2 1/4".
I guess I will do the 1 1/4 body and 33" and make any adjustments if I rub.

Dang look so damn good! I'm torn between 4" and 3".. When I bought it it had a 3" bl and 2" coil.. Now 1" bl should go with 4" to be the same height.. (I liked the height..)
