4" round LED tail light with reverse light built in

Hybrid Series LED Round Red Stop Tail Rear Turn and Back-Up Light - Raney's Truck Parts

I'm posting this for you guys considering replacing your tail lights with round LED's...These are high quality and have reverse lights built in.

These normally go for 50 bucks a pop but several big rig sites offer them for 27-29 each.

Make sure to get the pig tails as they are sold separate for a few bucks each.

Thanks for posting this. I'm getting ready to order my lights this week and I'm going to consider these.

Well, before you do...consider this;

Man, I've researched these things to the max, but I can't find cross sectional drawings to see if they are flush mount and use a rubber grommets, or if they stick out from the body a little....I know that's a deal breaker with me, so I guess I'll order one and see....I want flush, grommet mounted LED lights like most here, and I'm hoping they are like that and offer two less holes to drill for reverse lights and less wiring too.

What I DO know at this point is that brand is considered top quality and very well made.

id say those are not flush mount, it looks like they have 3 mounting holes and they are 5.75" round not the standard 4"

Yeah, that's my take after I blew up the pic and saw the three thru holes...Hmmm. still not yet a deal breaker until I know how far they might protrude from tub....Experience says maybe 3/4"

Why can't these goobs pay attention and offer flush mount all in one's that grommet mount? 4" or 5.25" don't matter in the end as long as we know what to expect.

Ok, I'll order one expressed shipped and see what I get, then update this thread.....Sorry if I went off half cocked, and I thank you for applyin the brakes.

I have read ALOT about these lights. They are not flush mount. They stick out about 1/2 inch from the tub. And the red part is 4 inches but the reverse light part is the grommet. They do not come with the grommet and I'm pretty sure that you'll need a 4" hole saw

Why don't you guys head down to a truck stop, or truck supply store, you will pay half the price, and can look at them, plus no shipping cost I get mine at the local western star dealer, I'm there all the time with my logging truck so I browse the selection. I'm getting a set that look clear when they are off.

Hell, our truck stops are full of them, but the dividing question is, ARE THE REVERSE WHITE LITES BUILT IN?

I was going to put 2" lights below the original ones I was going to get for reverse lights... Off set just like the front markers are on the old cj's. I think I want flush mount too so I might pass on these... As for the license plate I'm going to get two light bolts, you can usually get them from motorcycle mags...

I would try something like these. They have a downward facing LED in each bolt.

Any one try the hybrid lights? If so post pics please. I would like to see what they look like mounted. I looked but I wanted the grommet mount so I ordered 4 inch led and 2.5 inch for back up lights. I think I might mount the back up lights in the bumper.

I like these.
looks like they would only require three new screw holes to attach and the wires could run through the stock wiring hole.

I like the 4" rubber grommet lights but not sure about drilling/cutting the 4" hole..... these might work out nicely.

mine are first gen, required a 4" hole opened up just a little more. The plus is they can be replaced with any round screw grommet attachment. Looks like the only holes added would be the 3 attachment screws on the latest gen, along with no need to buy the 4 pigtails the 1st gen required.

They do only stick out as far as your first finger knuckle.

Just installed mine last night. They are awesome and well worth the $35 each.
I bought some license plate led bolts from superbrightleds to keep me legal. I was thinking of doing a writeup on the install, but the hardest part was getting the holes exactly even. More pics in my build thread
