42RLE Overdrive shifting "issue"

I have an '03 Sahra 4.0 with a 42RLE.

I have noticed that over the last week or so that the shift into 4th/overdrive is not as smooth as it used to be, especially if not under load. The shift is a bit jerky. If I give it a fair amount of gas or really get going the shifting is smooth. This is only into overdrive.

I changed the transmission fluid for some new ATF+4 about 2 000 miles ago and the level is good. I did a 1" transfer case drop to get rid of some vibes on pullaway. It might be coincidence but I'm thinking the start jerky shifting coincides with the transfer case drop. The other possibility is that I am indeed going mad, I would not be surprised.

Any ideas or is this normal?
