4H sticking

Today I had to put the jeep on 4H to get out of my parking spot since there was some good snow/ice. It went into 4h fine but when I shifted back to 2H it stuck in 4 for a while, I could feel it bucking around turns etc. Eventually it came out completely but it probly took a few minutes of driving. I tried reversing it on e too but that didn't help right away either. Is this normal?
