4th brake light

i saw a newer jeep last night that had a square red light in his hitch reciever. the trailer lights were hooked up to it and it was on with his running lights and would brighten when he hit the brakes.

i thought this was pretty cool, better than a plain black plug..

anyone know what these are called so i can find one online?

thanks

Did a search for "hitch receiver light" and came up with a ton of hits.

>Here's one<

Look like $20-$30 and you can pick one up.

Also can pick them up at almost any auto parts stores. And Walmart also carries them in the automotive section of the store for around $12=$16.

this might be a little off topic but i just got a new bumper with a hitch receiver and need to know how to hook it up for power. is there a wire harness made to run to the back of the jeep so i can use a trailer with rear lights?

Yes, I bought mine at U-haul. It just plugged in to the harness for the tail lights.

Got the hitch receiver light for 9.95 and the wiring harness for 16.95 at Agri-Supply with the Curt Hitch I was picking up. Has a T-connector that connected to my right rear tail light wiring. Had the hitch and wiring done in less than an hour (been quicker if I had been able to remove 1 of the bumper bolts easier---took 15 min on that one bolt) It was one of the first mods and has really come in handy.
