Question 4wd slips and clicks

just put a new bds 3" suspension lift on and new 33" general grabber tires on my jeep, the 4wd clicks and jerks and feels like it is slips in 4wd drive all the time, it started doing this last year before i done any thing to it, just putting it in 4wd in the yard going straight it does it, nothing seems to be loose, sounds like it is coming from the transfer case, it seems fine when in 2wd,
any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Sounds like the shifter for 4wd might need adj if just installed the lift or in general. Next thing to check would be u-joints in shafts and axle shafts.

if the linkage is right and the u-joints are good then I'd be willing to bet your chain is worn/stretched. How loud is the click?? Ever been on a go cart or dirt bike when the sprocket is worn and the chain jumps around? Does it sound like a louder version of that??
99 TJ 4.0..nothing special. 31's and BB, Gets me where I need to go.
