Here are some pictures of the brackets and the speakers. Sorry for the dark photos, it's night here.

Here is a link where you can pick them up yourself, I love how they turned out.

You can get the adapters lots of places. Ebay has plenty or they are not hard to make. 5 1/4 is the biggest you are going to get in there and round speakers sound better than any oval speaker.

The PO of my jeep took out the entire driver's side duct work to fit 6.5 Alpines with a huge magnet on them. Too bad they're blown

also stuff foam around the speaker, it forces the sound out rather than getting lost in the dash. I have 4 inch components in my dash and amped, they sound great.
Most people I've read here did not use foam and don't really know what their missing, as far as sound quality

Suffered years without knowing that  I went to buy replacements and the sales guy owned a jeep. "you do know 61/2's will fit right?"

I also have the 4 inch components up front (with foam) with a nice 4 channel amp. 2 10's in a sealed box made for my Tj. It sounds sooo good.

I used a grinder to cut out the old speaker and used that as an adapter to mount the new speaker (4X6 Infinity's). Too dark right now to get pics but I will follow up. Funny story tho...I didn't know I needed an adapter plate going into the job until I pulled everything out! Hilarious...

Theres always used ones on eBay or craigslist. I would not waste money on a new one.

As promised. I know these aren't 5-1/4" but I'm sure the same concept would work...And on the cheap!

Why would I bulls**t lol... Most 6.5 speakers do fit. I do hear that some
Don't, but I have had two sets of alpine
6.5's in there with no mods. Just need to relocate screw holes.

I have Infinity 6.75 in the sound bar. You use the surface mount trim ring the speakers come with.

Where did you get those infinity 4x6's and how much were they? Are they like a component set up? How many watts RMS can they handle?

I picked the Infinity's up from Best Buy on sale for about $100. They are 135 watts peak and 2 way but no outboard component setup. They have good sound with nice bass for the front. No super bump action but I think they are nice. I have Infinity's in the soundbar but not too much bass. i don't want to hook up a sub or anything.

So what type of foam do you use for the front speakers and how do you put it in?

Just replaced all 4 factory speakers with the 5 1/4" Polks. They're great in the soundbar but sound light in the front, not as rich as the soundbar.

Thanks.
