97 sport gauge cluster problems

I just installed a second sound bar and a 4 channel marine amp, and now none of my gauges work. I get power to the gauge cluster but none of the gauges move, and the airbag light is on permanently. Also, the mileage reading is constant and never changes. Everything else works: lights, signals, horn, radio etc.. the gauges just don't budge. I have checked all the fuses, and they don't seem to be the problem. Does anyone have any ideas?

Update: when I disconnect my radio the gauges come back to life. Could this problem be because they share the same fuse?

honestly try banging it on the top and see if it comes back to life. This a known problems with TJs and a crappy connection in the back of the gauges. It is recommended that you coat the connections with some kind of electric grease. The bend the pins method is works for a while but may not last forever. Also bending the pins has its risk.

I did all of those things and nothing. The funny thing is when I take the CD player/head unit completely out of the dash the gauges work fine. The moment I plug it up again they die. Obviously this is a wiring problem, but I just don't know where the problem could be.

Did you ever figure out this problem? my gauges, radio and interior lights quit. Fuses are all good. Grounds are all good. Lights all work in gauge center when I turn engine on and the shift indicator works when I'm driving.
