Hey guys and dolls, new to the forums here. Just picked up a tj the other day for next to nothing. Honestly, it was an impulse buy because I've always wanted one and oppertunity came at the right time. My '01 Yamaha R1 is my daily driver, but the jeep will be for rainy days (as the season is apon us here in Central Florida), trips to the beach, and mudding on the weekends.
So anyways, I want to lift her up. Was looking at the Rough
Country 3.25" suspension lift, MT spiderbite 8x15s and thinkin 33x10.5 mt/z's. But before I do anything like that, I need to know what to look out for on these high mileage jeeps. Anythings in particular KNOWN for going out on these things? It was a northern truck and then moved down to florida and has been living by the beach, so rust is one issue so far. I know the person who sold it to me very well. She never took it off rode and babied the thing (still on the factory clutch and it feels tight even with all those miles)
Any and all input is much appreciated, but remember this baby is for the mud and the closest thing to rock crawling would be jumping parking curbs at wal-mart. Lol
